This is a comprehensive listing of releases by The Used, an American rock band. The band has released four studio albums, one demo, one EP, one compilation album, one live album, and fifteen singles in their career.
The Used officially formed in January 2001. After recording their demo Demos from the Basement, The Used signed with Reprise Records, and their debut album self titled was released in June 2002. Four singles were released from this album, which was later certified Gold. In July 2003, The Used released compilation album Maybe Memories, which featured live, rare and previously unreleased tracks and a DVD including a history of the band, member bios, and part of a live concert. The album went platinum. The follow-up studio album, entitled In Love and Death was released in 2004, and saw three singles released. Later pressings of the album featured the digital download single "Under Pressure" performed with My Chemical Romance. This album has also gone gold. In February 2007, The Used released a live album, Berth, which included a full live concert shot at the Taste of Chaos 2005 show in Vancouver and DVD of the same concert. It has since been certified gold. In May 2007 the band released their third studio album, Lies for the Liars, from which they released four singles. Having recorded 19 songs during the Lies for the Liars sessions, the band decided to release those b-sides and other rarities from previous albums on the digital-only EP Shallow Believer in February 2008. The Used's fourth studio album, Artwork, was released on August 31, 2009. In recent months, The Used has finished recording their fifth studio album "Vulnerable." In several interviews The Used frontman, Bert McCracken, stated the album would "definitely be released in February 2012." However, in a recent interview with AP Magazine, it appears that the release date has been pushed back, and we should expect the album to drop sometime in the spring of 2012.
The Used has sold over 3 millions worldwide.[1]
